Intakes

  • The academic year is from mid / late February to early November and most Universities have 2 semesters with a holiday of 4 weeks in June.
  • Each University operates slightly different dates and some also offer summer school in the main holiday period in November to February. Intakes are in February, July and sometimes in September.
  • University generally takes around 4-6 weeks to process the applications

Documents needed for making an application:

  • Resume
  • Statement of Purpose
  • All academics mark sheets and passing certificates from 10th onwards,
  • Two reference letters from colleges / employers and passport copy or birth certificate
  • GRE/GMAT/IELTS score sheet ( If required)
  • All international students are required to provide an essay, statement of intent or personal statement of experience.

Entry Requirements / Eligibility

1) Undergraduate – Bachelors

  • A good academic record in High School Certificate or 12 years of schooling.
  • Some courses such as Computing and Engineering will require Mathematics and /or Science as pre-requisites
  • 0 IELTS

2) Postgraduate – Masters

  • A good academic record in Bachelors Degree from a recognized university.
  • Any work experience in the field will be helpful
  • For MBA programs at some Universities students need to have work experience along with their Bachelors Degree
  • 5 IELTS
  • 280+ GRE Score

Education costs in New Zealand

  • The costs of studying in New Zealand depend on the institution and the level of study you choose.
  • As an international student, your tuition fees are payable before you study.
  • There is a considerable range in cost of living amongst the metros and non metros.
  • In addition to your fees for study, you will need between $20,000 and $25,000 per year ($380–480 per week)
  • Immigration New Zealand requirement is $15,000 per year plus return airfare or additional $2,000.
